Your data

Your data & rights

  • v2.0
  • Effective 12 July 2026

In short

Four requests, one address, thirty days. Everything the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 entitles you to is on this page, and none of it costs anything.

01

What you can ask for

In the app, all four live under Settings ▸ Legal ▸ Your data. From a browser, each one opens a message to our data protection officer with the right subject line already filled in — you only need to send it from the address on your account.

  • Download my data

A copy of your profile, listings, messages and review history, sent as a file you can open anywhere.

    Request a copy
  • Correct my details

Most fields you can edit yourself in the app. For anything locked to a verification check — your legal name, your date of birth — ask us and we will correct it.

    Ask for a correction
  • Withdraw a consent

Turn off listing alerts and product emails, or withdraw consent for anything you agreed to at sign-up. Withdrawing does not undo processing already done lawfully.

    Withdraw a consent
  • Delete my account

Your profile, listings and messages are removed within 30 days. Billing records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it, and a ban record is kept so a suspended account cannot simply be recreated.

    Request deletion
02

What the app asks your phone for

Three permissions, and you can revoke any of them from your phone’s settings without losing your account.

LocationSorts listings by distance from you.
Off until you turn it on. Search works without it — results are just ordered differently.
CameraListing photos, and capturing your ID during verification.
Only opens when you tap a capture control. Nothing is recorded in the background.
ContactsNot used.
We never upload your address book. The app does not ask for this permission at all.
03

How long it takes

24 hours
A data export is queued and emailed to you
30 days
Any request is answered — usually far sooner
30 days
A deleted account is gone from our systems
7 years
Billing records survive deletion, as tax law requires

If we miss a deadline or you disagree with the answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. You do not need our permission to do that, and it doesn’t affect your account.
